..My inspiration for the Savannah lay in the large bundles of rope that can be found in a rope-maker's workshop. These shapes are immediately recognisable from the material, but also from the outline. Sturdy and durable in terms of design, the Savannah gives an impression of ocean voyages to distant shores: one big adventure. This requires durability, a quality that is exuded by the Savannah. In contrast, the soft angles are also reminiscent of the kindness in a sea-worn captain�s face..Sako Wijma, designer
